Hello,
I use this very good software and in this case I come from Bundler adjustment with un-distorted photo… When RC read the .out project it will start automatically a color correction and I do not want it … I can’t stop the process as it restart immediately …
Please is there ant way not using color correction when the project is read for the first time ? I did not found such a thing in the setting …
Kind regards
Dear PiotrMars,
is it possible, that you have set Yes in Correct colors? You can find this in Reconstruction settings. Also, you can use Ignore color correction for your processes.
Regards.
I have encountered this behavior and here’s how to disable this disruptive feature.
Disabling automatic color correction
- Click on the “Mesh Model” tab at the top of the interface > Click on “Settings” in the Mesh Color & Texture section. In the “Color and Texture Settings” menu (bottom left) find the “Correct Colors” drop-down and set it to “No”.
What happens is that despite having “Color Correction” set to “Disable” for all images in a project, RC repeatedly attempts to automatically color correct images in the project which in turn blocks, or interferes with other workflows. The help menu in the application (and documentation or other guidance online) can be confusing because the “Color Correction” entry in the help will guide you to look in the “Reconstruction Tab” or “Reconstruction Settings”. However, that tab is not called “Reconstruction” (it’s “Mesh Model”) and you will not find the relevant settings in the menu with the header “Reconstruction Settings”. What I found is that more helpful, contemporary guidance would be to disable the Color Correction feature in the “Color and Texture Settings” Menu.
I don’t think this is a bug. By my estimate it’s just unintuitive UX made confusing by inconsistent language between documentation and UI, or by interface changes rendering old guidance obsolete.
