In today’s update, one of the highlights is the color correction feature. Where I can find docs on that? What is the work flow? Is CLI command available?
I had the same question but for Image layers… I have such a hard time finding information on such features…
Hello!
Color correction will try to “normalize” color and lightness between all images used in scan.
You also can define specific images to be “reference” images in that operation.
Color correction - global color correction under image not local.
But how I can use it? There is a button in the Reconstruction tab named Color Correction. But id is doing smth automatically. Or is it a different thing?
Hi …
just noticed this:
think you have to set the reference there
Thanks, ! Any CLI comment for that?
How do you undo the correction if you don’t like it?
Select all images and disable color correction in image settings. Or select reference image and recompile color correction.
I’ve selected a single image to use as reference and processed color correction again and the result was the same. Do we need to turn OFF color correction for the reference image (as well as turning it ON as color correction reference)?
My images are very true to chart colors. When I use color correction, I end up with what appears to be a lot of added saturation/chroma, and a shift towards stronger green. it would be really helpful to have adjustments for the changes
Hi N3DStudios, selected image is used as color etalon and shouldn’t be changed during correction. The other images should be corrected according it.
I will add it to our feature request database (own adjustment).
above are two examples, imported images on the left, color corrected on the right. note the difference in the background. i’m getting a different result based on the colors of the person in my booth. i’m assuming the color correction code includes some type of white balance logic…but I would be better served with ability to turn off white balance correction, maybe shift a bit from red to green, and i definitely don’t need the increase in shadows to the extent that I’m getting. I’m not sure if that’s a result of shadow/highlight adjustment, or black level, or contrast… but an adjustment for strength would be great.
