collisions from 3dsmax to UE4

I have worked with VisuAll3d engine for realtime archviz, im used to make collisions with geometry boxes, on layers on 3dsmax , and exported like collisions with Visuall3d tool.

In UE4 i see a way to do it , naming UCX , with tstool , etc … it seems that a collision must be necesary to be “attached” to a object on the scene ?

Is posible to have all the collision geometry on a fbx ( diferent fbx the actor geometry ) , not relationed to any object ( Actor ) on UE4 , and imported , saying to UE4 that all that geometry is collision only . I could find the way to be perfection positioned after .

Hi!

I think this help you.

As far as I know it is not possible to have the collision in a separate fbx file -> you are just abel to import it when a mesh is in the file

Here are 3 ways how you can create a collision for the UE4:
