collision box/toggle visibility not working

am following this tutorial on how to switch static mesh materials for archviz projects

and for some reason no event is triggered when i do the same step by step i assume it has something to do with the projects setting although am on default setting and have not changed a thing, would appreciate it if anyone helped.

PS; i create my models on 3ds max and use datamith to import them directly ( I don’t know if that makes a difference)

  • do the imported assets have collision
  • how are you handling collision?

When you double click an imported mesh, you can visualise it:

The green wireframe is what we’d collide with. If it’s not there, you can add it from the Collision dropdown in the upper left.
