Collision and foliage

Hi!
is It possible to use the collisions I created for my meshes for the foliage type?

With best regards,

Hi. I don’t know wich sotware do you use for modelling, but the simpliest solution to make custom collision is to add a UCX mesh for your model. So you have a mesh named tree01 you need to create at least one collision mesh(must be convex). So you create a collison for the trunk, and a collision for the canopy. After that you need to rename the meshes for UCX_tree01_00, and UCX_tree01_01, and set your tree01 parent for these UCX meshes. If you import this model to Unreal itt will automaticaly create a collision based on this UCX meshes. Sorry for my English I’m not native speaker.

Hi!
Thank you very much for your reply!
Don’t worry, I’m not a native English speaker either.
I create my models with Blender. I will definitely have a look at it, would simplify the collision in general.

One more small question:
If I do this, can I just replace the existing foliage with the new objects, or do I have to redesign my scene again?
