Collapse/Expand All button in details panel

Collapse All and Expand All button for groups will be really helpful in details panel. Especially in Blueprint Defaults tab. For example collapsing each group in character blueprint defaults is time consuming. Every time after searching, i have to collapse everything. It will be really helpful to have a collapse button.

Hi ryanjon2040,

Thank you for your request. I have entered a request, UE-9222, to be considered by the development staff.

Thank you .

Have you tried right clicking on the top tier ‘>’ or ‘V’ arrow icon? When you do it opens up a menu where you can Collapse All, Expand All and a couple other options too.

If it isn’t already implemented it would be helpful to have a choice to set these defaulted for either expanded or collapsed. In EDIT>Editor Prefs>Appearance is an “Expand Configuration Menus” (select ‘Show All Advanced Details’ in the eyeball dropdown menu in the top-right corner if you don’t see ), but it only affected the menu bar and not the config details. I’ve seen tutorials that these menus are already expanded and would like to know how that was done.

also needs to be done with the world outliner if possible

Coming from unity, this is a real pain point. I have an object with 100s of a children in the detail panel and cannot easily find what I’m looking for. I’m used to hold alt and clicking a carrot to collapse/expand all the children, but would settle for a right click context menu (in the upper section of the details panel, not the lower section)
