hello!
I build a model with some pictures I took and it creates a big box around it. I use the “set reconstruction region” to select the part of the model I want but I see no “delete outside” option.
is there a way? thx!

sorry, i found a way with the “clipping box”! but can we “collapse” it?
Hi!
You need to use the Filtering Tool in Reconstruction.
Otherwise, Search and/or FAQ are your friends!

I used the clipping box+ filtering tool! and it works thx
I realized I was too late!
Anyway, thanks for elaborating.
By “clipping box” you mean the reconstruction region, right?
No the clipping box.
It’s an hidden option: click on the little Arrow poiting to the bottom at the very top of RC -> “more commands”
Ok, firstly thank you very much for pointing the menu out - I need to rummage around in that a bit.
I don’t think there is anything secret in there though. The clipping box is also available via the Scene ribbon (I remember now). Clipping is a display thing only, that means the rest of the geometry is still there. Not sure how it works with export though - did you try if it only exports the content of the clipping box?
i use the clipping box + filtering tool = geometry gone
Ah, ok. That works as well with the reconstruction region. I think the clipping box is just a pimped up reconstruction region, which would explain why it also works. Can you confirm that it is gone in the exported file as well though?
yes it is gone once exported!
