Collaboration file protection

Hello! I have a question about collaboration with ue4. And before you jump the gun to tell me that “just google”

My question is a little different.
Everyone says use Git or something, but we are on the same network so we don’t need that. We just share a folder.

It works, but. We can easily save over each others work.

Now we did this a few years back and I have a strong memory that there was a feature somewhere, where we could make ue4 stop users from opening a blueprint if someone else had it open in a window?

It put a tag or something on when someone opend it.

But I cannot for the life of me find anything about it now.

Have I completely dreamed this? Or is this feature hidden somewhere?

Any help would be very appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks for the quick answer!
But that still seems to be when you are using third party software.

We are just sharing a folder.

And I am kinda sure that all we had to do was check a box somewhere and once we open a window, nobody else could open it.:sweat_smile:

If it was that easy I’m sure the Docs would note it.
