when it is simulating it looks like there are some extra collisions under it.

I don’t know if you already found the answer, but I had this same issue, and instead of painting 100 on my verts, I painted 1000. That’s right, 100 doesn’t mean 100% simulated, it’s kind of how far the vertices can move while simulating.
