Cloth Simulation of thin cloth to thick cloth

Hey, everybody.

I was going through the Paragon files and I came across something that caught my attention.
For the Gideon character of Paragon, the clothes look like clothes but they are thick.

Thick Mesh :

but Thin in Paint Cloth :

As you can see the mesh of the clothing is thick but in Cloth Paint mode it’s thin.

I was wondering how it’s possible, is it a feature only possible with Nvidia’s Apex?

No one has a clue ?

It’d be cool to get an answer from one of Paragon’s developers.

As you probably noticed - all cloths with thickness require APEX clothing generated in 3D Application or use the “proxy” mesh from lower LOD
