Cloth Physics Problems

I’m having trouble with cloth physics in UE4.16. I’ve made clothing for my character, but the cloth moves away depending on how fast the character is moving. I’m using a pawn with the root being a static mesh with physics enabled and the character is a skeletal mesh that is a child of the static mesh. When it accelerates, the clothing moves away from the character as if it’s one frame behind the character’s movement. Here’s a screenshot of the problem:

Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?
