Cloth gets caught in movements


I have re-triggered some animations to my character but when i puts his arms up, his cloak looks like its attached to his elbows but it s not. I have a root motion in place, could it be the issue? I don’t see any problems with the bones.

Seems like it’s weightpainted to the arms at inappropriate places.
otherwise maybe the PHAT is causing the offset, but I verymuch doubt it looking at it.

For weight paint, disable cloth and see what happens with the same pose.

PHAT is your physics asset. Your cloth can either use the character’s default or use one specifically made for the cloth, which is usually a better idea.
