Hello all,
I am writing here today because I’d like to share something that I have created: part of a camera movement system.
I spent a couple of days trying to figure out how to go about creating the functionality that is described in the title of this post, and tried many methods. I found a couple of forum posts discussing similar topics, but none were exactly what I needed.
On this day, I have succeeded! And I am here to share what I learned!
Context: I have been addicted to The Sims 3 as of recently, and I was inspired to work on my own “Sim” project. To start off, I need a camera system, and that brings us here.
Here is what I came up with:
There was a LOT of trial and error, so there is a ton of unused variables, haha. Gotta clean those up soon…
If anyone wants clarification on what is presented here, leave a comment! And, FYI, this is based on the 3rd person character from the Unreal starter projects. That is KEY here.
