City Sample Missing Audio with 5.3+

Hi all,

I upgraded my City Sample project to 5.3 and the “city” soundscape / audio has stopped working. Only hear footsteps now.

Any ideas on what’s broken?

Same problem with audio . No ambient audio and high step volume. Also, the camera behind the character is positioned differently and the eyebrows are not properly aligned on the face as in 5.0-5.2. Any experts who can enlighten us on these issues?

I think World Audio Data System is not working. Has this problem been fixed?

Oh my God, I found how to fix this and get the sounds back in City Sapmle! This is so stupid. All you need to do is find the blueprint in “CitySapmle/Content/Audio/Scripts/CitySampleWorldAudioDataScript” and pull it onto the map! This is all! My sounds are working!

I didn’t expect such low quality control from Epic Games. I’m a little disappointed in a company that officially ships their best template/example (City Sample) without sounds, because they forgot to pull out the blueprint for the sounds on the map.

This only works for me if the blueprint is placed near the player start. Assume it’s something to do with the World Partition loading it. Is there a way to tell the engine to always load this blueprint?
