Cinematography Database - Earrings w/ Physics | Collection 1

Five different simple modern earrings designed for MetaHumans. These are pre-rigged and have "dangling" physics setup ready to use out of the box.

MetaHuman Earrings Tutorial -

Required Unreal Engine Version and Plugins

These assets require Unreal Engine 5.6 or newer with the new "Physics Control" plugin installed.

MetaHuman Instructions

  • Open the MetaHuman Blueprint

  • Add a Skeletal Mesh component and name it "Earring_L" and make it a chlid of the "Face" skeletal mesh component.

  • Change the Earring_L "Details | Sockets | Parent Sockets" to "FACIAL_L_Ear"

  • Add a Skeletal Mesh component and name it "Earring_R" and make it a child of the "Face" skeletal mesh component.

  • Change the Earring_R "Details | Sockets | Parent Sockets" to "FACIAL_R_Ear"

Disclaimer

These earrings do not collide with the MetaHuman's face, grooms, or world. So it's possible for them to "clip" through the face or hair. However, the physics is tuned conservatively so this doesn't happen during normal speed movements.
