So I’m making a short film using Metahumans and one of them has a beard. Well two of them do but only one is effected. Essentially my issue is that this characters beard goes pixelated when I turn my Viewmode into cinematic rather than high.
This wouldn’t bother me but it also affects my final render of the scene.
The pictures below are a comparison. The top being “High” and the lower being “cinematic”
I believe the red error message in the top left corner of your second screenshot should shed some light on the issue. It seems to be reporting something as being over budget. So, either your textures, your dynamic lighting/shadows, your calls, or perhaps something else entirely are too expensive. Without more information I couldn’t tell you which; but start with interpreting the error message.
Which section of Cinematic? You can open the Consolve Variable window and start switching sub scalabilities. When it turns white you can try and find the cvar that does it in the Console Variable tool to shed more light on whats happening.
