Cinematic Camera Unlocks from Viewport When Zooming and Scrubbing Timeline

This video shows it best: when I lock the camera and begin zooming into the timeline, that action immediately unlocks the cine camera view from viewport I just made. How to prevent this?

Secondary, I think its the intended behavior of Sequencer, but is there a way to prevent the camera lock getting disconnected when scrubbing playback beyond the in/out points? Also shown in the video.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I believe this might be a bug related to the camera cut track’s thumbnails. Can you try disabling them and seeing if the camera still unlocks when you zoom/scrub in the timeline?

Right click on the camera cut track and disable Thumbnails->Draw Thumbnails

Yea, that did it. Should I report it as a bug some other way to register it as such?

Any idea about the second one: scrubbing beyond in in/out points?

Basically there’s times when I need to pull a key on some track outside those areas and it always disconnects the camera lock doing anything outside those bounds.

Thanks!

Sequencer evaluates from the root sequence, so when you scrub in and out of the playback range of the subsequence, it will evaluate the other subsequences. If those subsequences have camera cut tracks, those will evaluate. Instead, you could try to turn on Keep Playhead in Playback Range While Scrubbing to prevent the playhead from going outside of the playback range accidentally.

For bugs, you can report them here: https://issues.unrealengine.com.
