Choose download location in Market place

What happened to the option to choose the download location in the Unreal Engine Launcher under the Market Place?

Here is a workaround I am using.

If you are using Windows you can use the ā€˜MKLINK -D’ command to create the symbolic link to another folder/drive or network share.

Hi otaku0424,

There has been a recent change to where sample content is now downloaded to your ā€œVaultā€, located in your engine’s install directory at \Unreal Engine\Launcher\VaultCache. You then make copies of the project in a location of your choosing that you can work with.

Please feel free to provide your feedback on this workflow.

Cheers

I have my engine installed on my primary SSD drive with projects going into a storage drive. I’m sure many others have a similar configuration. The SSD does not have a lot of room. Some flexibility on the vault location would be nice.

Guess I’ll just create a symlink to that directory.

As mentioned by phischphood in the linked Answerhub question, there’s an option to change the Vault location for downloads from the Marketplace in the Epic Games Launcher. Click on the settings icon in the top right and then ā€œEdit Vault Cache Locationā€.
