Hello,
sry, that I didn’t answer. I was busy and for a while it worked. Now this issue came back. Even all Defaultvalues (public variables) reset to Default values if I Restart the Editor, or if i compile the Master(Parentclass). Here are Pictures:
the classes:
Information about one child class.
Before compile or restart:
after compile or restart:
The only thing I am seeing that is not saved is the Mesh itself, and the Text field. Is that correct, or are you seeing other issues as well?
In the child i can set These params as well, this are things, which are for this Kind, for example every pickup has to Setup to type=pickup, and if I change These in the class self, they stay, but if I change they in the Details-Panel, they remove after a time.
Could you provide repro steps to reproduce this issue in a clean project? I’ve attempted to do so on my end, but I haven’t been able to get the same results that you’re seeing.
I gave this up, I tried to reprogramm this, but with the same result. As I created a children-classes from a Parent-BP-class after restart and recompile all properties were reset. Now I only use the Parent-class because it seems to be a bug in Unreal Engine. I just created a BP-Class (an Actor) and added some public/editable variables. After I finished, I created Child-actors and placed them in the world, and then I did the same and the properties were reseted too.
Hello,
At this time, I have been unable to reproduce this behavior. If you discover a solid way to reproduce this issue in a clean project, please feel free to respond to this thread with the repro steps needed to get this issue to occur.
Have a great day
