I’m proud to announce the release of Chickens: Rooster and Hen.
Chickens: Rooster and Hen makes use of a full AI Controller and Behavior Tree environment. To set up all you need to do is drag and drop some NPC chickens into your level, then drag in some Chicken path nodes. Make sure you have a NavMesh setup for the Chickens to walk around on, and your all set. Now available in the Unreal Marketplace.
These Roosters and Hens will begin the level traveling to random targets you place around your level. By default the Hens will run away from any Actor with a “ChickenEnemy” tag. If an Enemy gets too close the Hen will Jump away and call out for help. When the Hen jumps away there is a chance that the Hen will drop an egg. You can pickup this egg for an energy boost. The Roosters act as the protector of the flock. If a Rooster hears a Hen in distress the rooster will aggro against any actor with a “ChickenEnemy” tag. The Roosters and the Hens will retreat from gunfire. These behaviors can be adjusted or disabled on a per chicken basis.
