Character Modelling on Blender

Hi

I am new to UE 4 and just doing it for a hobby. Currently I have made a landscape through world machine and imported it into UE 4. Next I want to make my own character model, I have watched several tutorials and was wondering how hard would it be to make something like the attached pictures for my game (found it online)

Thanks

There is no good answer to your question ^^ -> some guys are really talented and create such characters in few hours, others are working on it for several weeks. But in general -> when you know how to create characters (techniques,…), it shouldnt be so difficult to create one like on the picture

If you know the basics in Blender, that character is very easy to make, everything is armor. Basic shapes modeling, keep symmetry on or mirror and there you go. There are a lot of different method to do modeling, better watch some Youtube tutorials.

Have you got a links to good YouTube tutorials?

Just go to YouTube and search blender modeling tutorials, there are plenty.

You can also visit :/// for interesting discussions.

For the basics: ?

Thanks for the links will keep me busy for a few hours

There are a lot of great sources for tutorials online. A personal favourite is ://cgcookie/blender who have some great courses for covering both the basics and more complex tasks.

For clothes and armour in particular, I would probably look into the symmetry modifier and high res sculpts and retopology: ie. the process of modelling an outfit using Blender’s sculpting tools before tracing a lower poly model over the top of it.
