Character mesh/camera facing wrong direction after attached to another component

Editing out the original because it’s unsolvable. The issue is not relevant to the issue I posted at all, the architecture of my project was breaking it and my solution could be described as “just rotate it 90 degrees” but that was impossible in my old architecture.

The issue also happens but differently when teleporting the mesh away from the capsule component. I need to make the camera and mesh face the same direction, I can even rework inputs while attached even though that’s sloppy. Any ideas?

Try attaching with different rules, tp your character to your parent and Keep World rule while attaching, or set location rotation to your needed values and use Keep Relative rule.
