Character is floating above my mesh

Hello everyone,
I am new to this and I hope you can help. I already searched a lot on the internet for a solution but nothing really worked for me. I made a map with a street in maya and imported it in Ue4. No problem with that. When I add my 3PersonCharacter to it, it will always float when starting to play. No contact with the floor. I also tried to put my character on the floor of a landscape I created within UE4 and that works perfectly fine. Just not with my mesh. Also the following camera of the character is not in it’s position but way to close to the character after moving the character.
