Character float on the ground

When I drag the animation in blendspace 1D, the character is floating on the ground.

Is there a way to fix?

Hi @anonymous_user_3315e26f!

It is a little hard to tell what exactly is happening here from that image, but I have a few questions:

  • Does your animation float on it’s own before applying it to your blendspace?
  • Is your animation originally built for a skeleton other than the Epic Mannequin?
  • Can you provide maybe a gif so we can get a better picture of that you are dealing with?

Any additional information will go a long way in solving your problem!

No. I download from youtube tutorial.

No. The skeleton I take from Epic Store and retarget it.

Hey @anonymous_user_3315e26f,

A few more questions:

  • What settings are you using when importing the animations?
  • You said retargeting, but you should not have to retarget the animations if they are being imported for the UE skeleton. Are you retargeting after importing and or not selecting the UE skeleton when importing the FBX files?
  • When importing your FBX files, did you accidentally adjust import translation? If not, have you tried adjusting the animation downward when importing?

Any additional information you can provide (especially a video) will go a long way in solving your problem.
