By default, character movement component let’s you turn on a dime when holding the left analog stick in the opposite direction to which the player’s character is already moving.
I want to change that so now holding in the opposite direction will make the player character slow down.
I have no idea whatsoever on where to start. If someone could point me into the right direction; I’d be extremely grateful!

I tried adjusting the ground friction and that helped a lot but a new problem arose.
With low ground friction, turning has become extremely slippery.
Is there a way to have low ground friction deceleration without having slippery turning?
