Hey all. I rigged my character with the AcuRig auto rigger from Reallusion which weights it to the CC4 skeleton. I’ve got everything set up properly in the IK Rig, but for some reason when I try to retarget, my character’s arms jump into the air and he looks like he’s doing the DaVinci Man pose. Here’s what my character looks like after I’ve setup the IK RIG:
If I turn off IK on the hands and feet, then the character is about head height on the UE4 mannequin, but in the correct A-pose. Obviously that doesn’t work either.
Hey TorQueMoD.. your second image you can go to Post Settings and add Pin Bones, Pin your IK
bones to mesh bones LeftHandIK to Lhand etc.. Took a while to figure this out and actually found it
when I created an auto rig.. Hope this may help..
Thanks for that. As I said, I didn’t need to do that at all with the exact same FBX file in 5.4, so I’m still taking the stance that Epic broke something in 5.5. It is, however, awesome to know that this is an option if I run into the issue in the future, so thanks for sharing
