Hey all. Wanted to share the work-in-progress showcase of a character creation and animation system that I’m currently working on in my spare time. The purpose is to create a flexible, high-performing and easy-to-use system that will require minimal time and resources for adapting to new body types, clothes, and animations, while also allowing for hand-picked adjustments in certain scenarios.
It features:
- Seamless runtime character body and face blending (like in CC, but in UE)
- Cloth adaptation based on resulting body type
- Animation corrections for soles and heels
- Leg length-adjustable motion warping and Leg IK
- Hand IK for various cases (one-handed, two-handed, main + supportive hand weapons)
- Compatibility with different skeletons
