Character Capsule

Hi all,

I know this question has been asked a few times because I have been trying to find solutions for my problem. So I have a roll animation where the character rolls to a certain location, but when it plays the character capsule does not move. When I ‘Enable Root Motion’ in the blueprint, the character animation ends up looking really strange. I have looked at the unreal documentation about root motion here: Root Motion | Unreal Engine Documentation but it still doesn’t seem to help. I tried adjusting the ‘Root Motion Mode’ in the Animation Blueprint, but it still doesn’t seem to work.

Any ideas as what else to do?

So I found a tutorial that handles this problem by importing the animation and skeleton in blender, adding a root bone and then making adjustments to the animation. This works, but it took me about 15 minutes to do this for 1 animation. Is there a faster way to adjust the root motion?
