I’ve been having trouble with my character’s custom imported animation’s head not moving. I exported the animations from Cascadeur and used a UE5 compatible rig (Game Rig Tools plugin in Blender), the rest of the animation seems to work except for the head.
My running animation has the character’s head looking straight up but when imported and used in engine it just follow’s the torso’s orientation looking down.
I tried this both with ABP_Manny and tried it on a fresh new custom ABP file. Nothing works.
Unreal and Blender don’t have the best relation, and animation import is a regular point of conflict. And since your animation is using Blender as bridge, it can be affected by multiple factors.
Unless you can use other program for the transfer (like Maya), then the first approach is to reset import/export settings on both UE and Blender, then test exporting again.
