Chaos vehicles

Hey there, ive been using ue5 for a couple weeks now and I have been fiddling with the chaos car physics for hours and hours but I just cannot get the car to drift or maintain a slide. With a 4wd car for example the throttle input dies with a slide and cant do a burnout or power trough a corner on all fours. Now my question is, did I miss something or is it not possible at al? Ive tried the slip graph all modifiers and more but I can only do small donuts and a slide at a very shallow angle.

Hey there @PHYLL17! Welcome to the community! I don’t believe you’re missing anything here (or we’re both missing something) in that it’s hard to get the simulated vehicle systems to operate outside of their primary use. I don’t work with chaos vehicles too often but I do have experience working on a couple of different variations of a drift system.

I wrote up a quick (somewhat hacky as it ignores the physics choices) example of how you’d pull off some drifting, but it’s not quite what you’d be looking for in that it requires and bleeds speed quickly, and can burnout if held too long. It needs a bit of work, but it may point you in the correct direction. It also requires you to make a curve
