I feel like nothing I do can make this friggin thing move. I’m a super beginner so I feel like I must be missing something obvious. when I toss the vehicle around in simulated it bounces proper-like, and the wheels turn, but I can’t make the thing move via inputs. It has an engine curve. I triple checked to make sure it’s receiving inputs. I’m completely dumbfounded.
Blue print is: Enhanced action + Chaos Wheeled Vehicle Movement –> set throttle input.
I’ve followed like a million different tutorials and I keep getting stuck on this spot. I feel like it must be a problem with the mesh (custom asset) but everything else is checking out and the physics work fine in simulation/ for wheel steering.
I’ll start with a very basic question:
are you trying to drive the car inside a first-person or third-person template, or are you using the vehicle template directly?
Also, could you show how you have everything set up so far? That would make it much easier to spot where the issue might be.
I’m also sharing the official documentation, which explains step by step how to properly set up vehicles, in case it’s useful.
Hi! figured it out, it was the torque curve starting above the engine RPM. At least I’ve got chaos vehicle setup memorized now I did it so many times lol.
