You’re right, I expressed myself poorly. The “workaround” part of my previous message was actually added by my AI agent (Luna) when she helped me translate my message to English — I hadn’t even noticed she inserted that term.

My real struggle was completely different: I was unable to use the manual transmission at all (my car stays locked in first gear), and I spent months wondering what I was doing wrong. Even asking myself: “can it be that CMV doesn’t even have an operational manual shift system?”

My Unreal knowledge comes from a 2-month course, so I didn’t have the experience to know whether this was a user error or a bug. It took CL 53663719 to confirm what I was experiencing wasn’t my fault.

And thanks for the insight that I could have copied the plugin code. I didn’t know that was an option. I’ve just been using the official version.

Well i will save u a lot of time then, epic doesn’t care much about the vehicle plugins, its surprising there was even some CMV fixes, i only recommend to use them if copied to project, the only sane way to use them in a real project, and fix things yourself if needed.

That being said, the modular one is better than the standard, but u are still on your own.
