chaos cache manager rendering

I need some help. I am trying to render a scene using chaos cache manager. I have chaos destruction delayed usingn chaos cache manager in my sequencer but when I render it happens immediately. Is there a setting I used to turn off physics during the render and let the cache manager control it?

Would using a running track help? Add a running track then you can check on or off for when you want to start.
Only used this with alembic files so far, but it should work!

I have this problem too.

Did you ever resolve this? I have the same problem. Ended up disabling physics simulation on the managed object, but not sure this should be necessary (and it wasn’t in the beginning).

Perhaps my answer is a little late, but try this: you need to make sure that the Chaos cache manager state is Static pose, and not Record, as in the above screenshot. Otherwise, when you run a simulation or render, the chaos cache will try to record the destruction simulation over and over again. Moreover, this will always happen some time after the start of the simulation, usually immediately. It’s probably possible to set the destruction simulation to start recording at a certain point, but I’ve never tried this. It is much easier to prepare the scene, start the simulation, wait until the calculation of the destruction of the object is completed, stop the simulation and immediately switch the chaos cache manager to the Static pose state. This way you will have a recorded animation. All that remains is to add the Chaos cache track at the desired time period.
