I have a problem with my chaos simulation. I am new to the area and trying new things like destructing a building with many floors and indoor structure. However there is a problem I am encountering. When I build a build with many floors there is always some kind of interaction that is making the outside of the building collapse. I checked everything. Even tried damage threshold. However when it is only one floor the problem does not occur. If anyone ones all the help or suggestions much appreciated. Thanks.
Note: All the meshes are made in blander and have exact measured surfaces. Down two photos are showing my problem.
Hey there @Print1! Welcome back to the community! From what it looks like, the walls are entirely intact, so it’s not likely the fracturing being the problem, it’s that the building doesn’t seem properly anchored.
Here is a thread that goes over having the same issue but shows a method to properly anchor the building so that it will only begin falling apart once fracturing begins:
If you haven’t started using fields yet, they are a prerequisite to understanding that tutorial:
No problem! The use of fields is basically required to use Chaos in any meaningful way. Remember to sleep fragments that are just visible now, and kill those that are irrelevant. Managing your fractures will be essential in keeping your performance up, especially in your use case with such a large destruction setup.
