Is suppose this is a bug, but it’s slightly annoying. I like to set Orbit Pitch to -90.0 and Orbit Yaw to 0.0 for some of my assets to get a top down view. This is very helpful, when for an example I have modular road meshes and with quick glance I can see the shape in the content browser. The problem is that when I have thumbnail orbit set as this, the camera is rolled. I’ve attached screenshots to showcase the problem.
Hello asutekku,
I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
Quick questions:
- Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
- If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
- Could you provide any screen shots that will aid in reproducing this issue on our end?
I was able to reproduce the bug.
The steps I did were these:
- Create new project
- Use the empty map
- Import random object (In this case it was an FBX file exported from MAX 2017)
- Open asset viewer
- Change Orbit Pitch to -90
- Change Orbit Yaw to 0
- Close asset viewer
- Open asset viewer
And there you go, the camera is skewed.
