Changing thumbnail pitch messes viewport camera.

Is suppose this is a bug, but it’s slightly annoying. I like to set Orbit Pitch to -90.0 and Orbit Yaw to 0.0 for some of my assets to get a top down view. This is very helpful, when for an example I have modular road meshes and with quick glance I can see the shape in the content browser. The problem is that when I have thumbnail orbit set as this, the camera is rolled. I’ve attached screenshots to showcase the problem.

Hello asutekku,

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide any screen shots that will aid in reproducing this issue on our end?

I was able to reproduce the bug.

The steps I did were these:

  1. Create new project
  2. Use the empty map
  3. Import random object (In this case it was an FBX file exported from MAX 2017)
  4. Open asset viewer
  5. Change Orbit Pitch to -90
  6. Change Orbit Yaw to 0
  7. Close asset viewer
  8. Open asset viewer

And there you go, the camera is skewed.
