i am extremely new to unreal engine, but i have basic knowledge. I have been trying to modify the texture for the raptor so that i can change the eye and a few other features. these textures work Perfectly within the unreal software (ark dev-kit) but when i move the texture files over to the real game folder, all the textures for the raptor In game are completely fried. (looks like white noise but with color). does anyone know what i am doing wrong?
i export the raptor textures from ark dev kit as .tga files so that i can edit them in photoshop.
then i import them back into ark dev kit (changing them into .uasset files)
i apply my new texture to a raptor model in ark devkit and EVERYTHING is fine.
now i take all my modified files from the ark devkit folder and move them to the (real) respective ARK folder and replace all files
i load into the game and all raptor textures look scrambled.
is it even possible to modify textures yet?
is the base game different than the dev kit?
