Changing hot key bug

When you change hotkeys in the editor preferences, your new input isn’t saved/accepted till you click on another hotkey field. I discovered this confusion when I filtered the keys by search to find Maximize Viewport, and naturally I only had one hotkey to select from (so my discovered fix wasn’t possible). I knew that I had made this work the night before (but didn’t save due to a crash). I kept clicking outside the input field box in the gray void to try and get UE4 to accept it. It wasn’t till I manually looked through the menus, change the input for Maximize Viewport that I accidentally clicked on another blank field, then and only then did a I get the “red x” near my new input, confirming UE4 acceptance of it.


Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur. Due to timetable of when this issue was first posted, we are marking this post as resolved for tracking purposes.
