I bought the Brave Cat pack on the unreal engine marketplace. I tried replacing the animations with the new ones purchased and for one, the animations won’t sync with the new character. For two, the character stretches to the size of the original character that is the starter. Anyone have any tips?

It’ll take some time so be patient, welcome to retargetting.
The skeleton retarget settings are likely set to animation scaled recursively.
This is the proper way to do it normally, but when you use proper animation and not retargeting.
When using retargeting you probably want to set the retargeting options to skeleton and only the pelvis to animation scaled.
Milage may vary on that.
Overall it may be better for you to retarget to the proper smaller skeleton and save a separate copy of the animation - which at least in theory - should use the original skeleton and just utilize the bone rotations. In a way that animation scaled settings wouldn’t stretch.
Now between saying it and doing it there’s probably 3 years of hands on work
