change to custom skeleton mesh

hi there
i try to exchange the “scubaTop_Male” (Skeletal Mesh)
Therefore i made a copy of that into my mod directory.
then i exported it as fbx to maya.


i looks like there is no error so far.
BUT when i go back to ADK to reimport the mesh, it crashes:

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE SKELETAL MESH?

scubaTop_Male has some meshes linked and the skeleton.
but where is sm_ScubaVest_Male (static mesh) linked in there??

i thought i could eighter change the skeletal mesh and reimport, or change just the static mesh and relink to the bones.
i don’t see where sm_ScubaVest_Male is linked into scubaTop_Male.
