Hi,
i’ve worked on another program, and when i arrive on 3d i can export the cams, for re-allign a new set of cam for the texture.
Why I Re-aling with a new photo? because for aling for a first time, i used a reticolate, and for the texture i doesn’t need a reticolate on 3d.
So, can i export my first cam, for import a new block of cams?
How i can, add a new block of 125cams for create a new texture?
Thanks for reply and help
Hi Paolo Polidori
I am not sure about your questions… Can you better describe what you trying to do / solve ?
But in principle, if you aligned images, created model and want to add another image set for textures, you need to ALIGN them together. It is not possible just to add images and calculate the model or texture…
Hi, and thx for reply.
I have two set of photo, one for 3d and one for texture, if i need apply a second set of texture to my 3d and not the first, how i can?
If i re align a second set, how i can add on first 3d result?
Hi Paolo Polidori
More options here: try the easiest way - MOVE the first folder used for ALIGNMENT and RECONSTRUCTION to another folder, or just rename that data folder. Then just open the RC project and it will ask you for the folder with the data, then just direct it to the images for TEXTURING…
Hi,
I think I have the same question: doing people scans, as many other I take two sets of pictures. One with noise projection allows a far better 3d model reconstruction, the other set of pictures (identical because taken in short sequence) is taken without noise projection and needs to be used for creating the texure.
In other programs it’s rather easy to swap the two sets, so creating the 3D model using the “noise” pictures, the swapping the two sets in order ot create the texture.
Is this feasible with Capturing Reality ? If yes, how ?
Mind you , today I’ve finally taken the hassle to dual boot my ubuntu machine with Windows 10. I’ll buy CR licence tomorrow morning if you explain me how to do this, because if this is not possible, then CR is useless for my use case.
thanks in advance
Massimo
Hi Massimo Tasso
As described in my previous reply… Or get a CLI version to fully automate it with commands…
Ok, thanks.
let me just check if I understood correctly.
1- do the reconstruction with the proper set
2- export model, cameras and save project
3- close project and swap the photos
4- reopen project and do the texturing
is that so ?
Is there a manual for the cli version to consult ?
thanks in advance
never mind I found the detailed answer in this thread
reprojecting texture to mesh using 2 sets of object images
that’s very complete. thanks
I’ve done! Thanks so much

Currently there are 2 topics directly covering CLI in the Help tutorials in the software:
Capture.PNG
So, i’ve resolved a problem, deleting a original photo.
