Change Actor to Pawn

I just made an actor BP but now I’ve realised I might want to possess it… Can I change the inherited type or do I have to start fresh

Hey rodstone,

To change the inherited blueprint click on the “Blueprint Options” button in the toolbar, it will open up a new details panel that will allow you to change the Parent class for the BP.

It is also worth mentioning that you can possess Actor BPs as well! It may take some modification, such as adding a camera component, but any Actor BP can be possessed by a controller, not just pawns or characters.

Woo! Thank you so much DotCam! This saved me having to rebuild my pawn as a character. The floating pawn movement component doesn’t automatically replicate like the character movement component.
