Cesar Salcedo - Sun 16K - Plasma Rays

Overview
The asset combines an optimized icosahedral mesh with ultra‑high‑resolution emissive textures, seamlessly mapped without polar distortion. Designed for film, games, VR, AR, and fulldome environments. Instantly ready to import and render, with all materials embedded and configured for glowing plasma visuals.

Scientific Background
This 3D representation of the Sun is based on imagery from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), capturing the complex patterns of solar plasma and magnetic activity. The textures were artistically enhanced and composited from multiple wavelengths to simulate high‑energy emissions, using procedural masking and custom filtering techniques to emphasize filaments, sunspots, and radial energy bursts.
