The Owner Actor
you get as part of Receive Execute
is usually an AIController
so cast to that first, then call GetControlledPawn
or GetPawn
(depending on the version you’re using) on it and cast that yo your character class.
Also, depending on the version, you might have alternative, AI versions of BT events available, like Receive AI Execute
that supply you with owning AIController
and a Pawn
right from the start.
