Cascade - Change spawn shape?

I am trying to change a particle to emit particles in a Cone, currently its a sphere but i can see no modules for that type of emitter shape? … This seems like a super simple thing but cascade baffles me (as someone who has come from Unity).

I can also not see the shape of the emitter in the viewport (in cascade editor or the level its in) is there an option to see the emitter shape?

I think the options in Cascade are pretty limited. I assume it’s just a limited spawn shape option, unlike Niagara.

Better to just use Niagara, or are you stuck with a legacy emitter?

I was using only Cascade as when i opened the Starter Content package, all of the particle examples of which 3 i needed were all setup with Cascade not Niagra… i will try using Niagra moving forward.

Cascade has a lot of good stuff still, but it’s not a bad idea to convert to Niagara before getting stuck in.

There’s a plugin you can enable in the project settings that does the conversion. It’s not brill, but it’s a start :slight_smile:
