Carve holes in a widget

Greetings!

I was wondering if it was possible to carve holes in widget? We have buttons with dynamic text on top and we would like the text to be like “holes” in the button so you can see through the button where the text is.

I am aware I could achieve this result by creating textures but that’s just not as convenient than just changing the text.

I looked on youtube but couldn’t find anything reproducing what I’m looking for.

I have some expertise with post process and I thought I could use SceneTexturePostProcess0 as material for the text but that didn’t work.

Anyone has any idea?
