Right now im trying to upload new items, which each item has 15+renders.
The issue: each render upload (each image-file) fires up a captcha for me to solve. So, in one product with 15 renders, i have to solve 15 captchas.
This hasnt occured to me before
I’ve: cleared cookies - cache - changed browser - restarted router - restarded pc
What else can i do?
What type of bug are you experiencing?
Publishing
Steps to Reproduce
I open fab as usual. Go to listings → new listing → start filling everything up
Then when i upload all the renders of the product, it fires up a captcha for EACH image. So for example if i have 10 renders, i have to solve 10 captchas
Expected Result
The expected result its to not have one captcha. Zero. Like always. This is a new issue for me
Wonder if it could be because you haven’t done all steps to verify your account or that you’re behind a VPN maybe? Haven’t encountered it myself but it does sound very excessive.
I have been experiencing this issue since July 23.
I contacted Fab Support on the same day and initially received only one response asking me to try the usual troubleshooting steps (switch browsers, clear cookies and cache, disable VPN, etc.).
I followed all of those instructions, but the problem did not change.
After that, I sent three more follow-up messages, but I have not received any response since.
Because of this issue, I have not been able to upload a single new model to Fab since July 23. Every image upload triggers repeated hCaptcha challenges, making it practically impossible to publish new products.
Could someone from the Fab team please investigate this issue or provide an update on my support request? Thank you.
I have been experiencing this issue since July 23.
Every single image upload triggers a new CAPTCHA challenge. If I upload 15 renders, I have to solve 15 CAPTCHAs. This makes publishing products extremely slow and frustrating.
I have already contacted Fab Support multiple times. They asked me to:
clear cookies and cache;
try different browsers;
use Incognito mode;
disable extensions.
I tried all of those steps, including using a completely different internet connection, but nothing changed.
Today I received this response from Fab Support:
“The Internal team has informed us recently that the Captchas are as intended.”
This is confusing because this forum thread says the issue has been assigned (EMP-22129).
Before July 23 I could upload images normally. Now every image requires another CAPTCHA, making it almost impossible to publish products with many renders.
Can someone please clarify whether this is actually a bug or an intentional change? If it is intentional, it seriously impacts creators who regularly upload products with multiple images.
I recieved the SAME response and its 100% confusing. Makes no sense at all. Before this, there was no captcha at all. Now, suddenly, we have to do ONE CAPTCHA PER RENDER-FILE.
So, 16 renders to upload = 16 captchas
1 fbx = 1 captcha
1 obj = 1 captcha
and so on.
Of course i replied back asking for a solution because this issue its clearly something new and not something “intended”. WHY would you do a captcha per file uploaded? Makes no sense.
I hope they fix this because uploading items its a pain now.
This is getting ridiculous. Are you seriously doing this to artists?!
You said that the team made configuration changes so that we hopefully wouldn’t see the CAPTCHA as often.
Nothing has improved. It is actually worse now.
Today I uploaded 10 renders and had to complete the CAPTCHA around 20 times during the upload process.
This is completely unreasonable for creators who regularly upload products with multiple renders. Uploading a single product is becoming a frustrating and time-consuming process because we are constantly interrupted by CAPTCHA challenges.
Please don’t tell us that this is “working as intended.” It wasn’t like this before July 23, and it is now significantly worse.
We need an actual solution, not another configuration change that makes the problem worse.
Please escalate this to the team responsible for the CAPTCHA system and investigate what is happening with image uploads.
Artists are trying to upload and sell their work on Fab, not fight a CAPTCHA every few seconds.
So, as of today, i got this email from Fab support:
“At this time this is expected behavior. We have passed your comments on to our dev team and they will take it into consideration as we work to continuously improve Fab.”
So, you’re telling me its intended that we are frustrated enought to not want to upload products?
Like another guy said above, this has become a time-consuming and frustrating experience, for one single product.
Imagine us, that we upload each week, more than 4-5 items per week, maybe more sometimes.
Please, Fab team, Epic team, the whole team: do something, take this update back, and restore the original way of uploading. This does not make sense at all!
At this time this is expected behavior. We have passed your comments on to our dev team and they will take it into consideration as we work to continuously improve Fab.
I understand how frustrating this issue is for you all and I am doing my best to get it solved.
Customer Service is a completely different workflow from bug reports on the forums so you are likely to receive a different outcome as we are two separate teams.
As I mentioned in my response above, I have followed up with the team and I’m awaiting to hear back. Unfortunately, these things aren’t speedy quick so please be patient with us.
I Literally can’t do that coffee mug Captcha! Select locations where the item in the example can be placed. First- these pictures are small and second i can put that mug also on asphalt or floor if i want to.
