4.11 introduced nice new indirect shadow feature for skeletal meshes. Capsule shadows has a great potential but there are still some issues with quality.
I tested with simple scene which have stationary sun and static skylight and results are pretty but not very useful. Indirect shadow is always just casted to other hemisphere of character and leaving one side compleatly unshadowed.
This make grounding effect quite lacking and sometimes there are peter panning or rapid directionality changes with discontinuities. It would be a lot better if shadow would cover every direction more evenly.
When I tested with stationary Sky light shadow shape is a bit better but it has also some discontinuities and problems.
Interiors are even worse because there are faster light environment changes.
