Capsule - Blender to UE4 Batch Export Plugin

Hey, I’ve spent a while developing a plugin for Blender, that among other things, can help process and batch export assets ready for Unreal Engine 4, augmenting the in-built FBX exporter. It’s called Capsule, and it can automate the export of hundreds of objects in a scene with a single click, with Export Lists, re-usable Export Presets, automated export organisation tools and a bunch of other neat things.

Check out my Gumroad page for more info - Link

FEATURE LIST
Batch Exports - Mark hundreds of objects and groups in a scene for export, and export them all with one click.
Export Origin Editing - The plugin can automatically assign the origin point of your exports to the origin of your models rather than the scene, or whatever point you need it set to.
Export Lists - Get an overview of all objects prepared for export, and quickly change their settings from the list.
Export Presets - Create detailed sets of export settings that define how your objects and groups get filtered and processed into FBX files, and that can be simply applied to objects and groups in the scenes.
Tags and Passes - Passes let you export your objects and groups in multiple ways, creating a separate FBX file for each pass, whereas Tags let you define automatic filtering rules that make passes even more powerful.
UE4 Tools - The plugin includes a special, in-built Unreal Engine 4 preset that ensures exported models appear exactly as they do in Blender, while providing a few extra features, that I hope to expand on in the future.

If you have any issues in using it, or any other questions, suggestions or bugs, feel free to post and i’ll help you out

Does this include skeletal meshes?

If so, does it export with the correct correct root bone?

Either way, interesting and good to see an option besides MAX, Maya etc.

Thank you!

Hey, this does include skeletal meshes, and it ‘should’ export with the correct root bone, although my own testing has been limited. I know theres some issues with exporting more complex skeletal meshes that i’m currently getting fixed, but there could be other things I have not yet caught, and would love to hear feedback from those that use Blender for UE4 assets to find and get them fixed.

Theres an issue with blender when importing a skeletal mesh in unreal and its bones are x10 bigger. Do you have any idea if this fixes it?

Hi! I made a video showcasing the addon. Keep up the great work.
