It shows this error “this layer has no layer info assigned yet. You must create or assign a layer info before you can paint this layer.” in uefn HELP PLZ
How many layers do you have in your landscape? You should describe your UI a bit maybe to help understand why you’d get that error. Mostly it’s due to having a layer with no landscape on it.
Hi there.
The mentioned landscape layer probably doesn’t have any LayerInfoObject associated.
If you used UEFN to create the landscape, these should be automatically created, but maybe they were not saved so don’t exist anymore. Make sure they are always saved in the future to avoid this type of issue.
You can still fix this issue by either assigning an existing LayerInfoObject to your layer (left arrow in the screenshot), or by creating a new one (right arrow, the “+” sign, make sure to right click and save the asset once created).
Hope this helps
Just an FYI for anyone encountering this problem, creating a new layer didnt work for me. I had to go to the files for another project that I was working on and copy all the layer assets that were created in that file and paste it to the folder for my current project I am working on then set each layer to the correct file using the drop down list for each layer.
The correct files were located under Documents/Fortnite Projects/(the name of a good project)/Plugins/(the name of the good project)/Content/(the name of the good project)_sharedassets
I just copied all the layer assets and pasted them in the corrupted programs files(there were no layers created for this project for some reason). Instead of (the name of the good project), use the project name you are trying to fix. Paste the layer files into this projects shared assets folder then go into landscape mode, click the dropdown for each layer(mine says none), and click the layer pertaining to that layer number and you should be good to go.
I had to shift leftclick over the entire map while layer 1 was selected because I wanted grass and had dirt instead to get ride of the dirt layer that filled my map.
Hope this helps anyone with the same problem I had.
