Can't paint landscape layers beyond first component (patch)

So landscape is made of subpatches. I can’t seem to paint texture layers beyond first component borders. Anyone has an idea why?

As I typed it I figured it out. I was using Ultra Dynamic Sky plugin that requieres dynamic material instance to be turned on in the landscape property (for the rain puddles). I disabled it and can paint now beyond first component. I can simply turn it back on after I am done.
